Nova Friburgo ganha nova reserva ambiental e chega a 20 RPPNs reconhecidas pelo Inea Divulgação Inea Localizada no bairro Varginha, a reserva Particular do Patrimônio Natural (RPPN) de Itororó protege 10,16 hectares de Mata Atlântica. Com a inclusão da área, o município de Nova Friburgo, na Região Serrana do Rio, passa a ter 20 reservas da categoria, responsáveis pela preservação de 510 hectares do bioma. A unidade foi reconhecida pelo Instituto Estadual do Ambiente (Inea) em 14 de outubro. O reconhecimento da RPPN Itororó eleva para 117 o número de reservas particulares reconhecidas pelo Inea
