7月28日に発生した最大震度7の地震は、「日奈久断層帯」のうち、10年前の熊本地震の際に活動した場所と隣り合う領域がずれ動き、発生したとみられることが専門家の分析で分かりました。断層帯には割れ残っているところがあるとして、専門家は「いつかは分からないが、今後、地震を引き起こす可能性もあるため、注意が必要だ」と指摘しています。
