A Russian bombardment targeting the Poltava territorial community killed a 59-year-old man, injured four other civilians, and damaged private homes on Saturday, Oct. 17. The incident coincided with climbing casualties from weekend standoff attacks across Ukraine, including a double-tap guided bomb strike on Kherson’s Korabelnyi district that killed an ambulance driver and injured 33 civilians, alongside deadly aerial strikes on Sloviansk and a missile attack in Kharkiv.
