La Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS) evalúa usar medicamentos conocidos como terapias GLP-1 para tratar la obesidad. Este tipo de fármacos se han popularizado y en Costa Rica se venden en farmacias privadas bajo los nombres comerciales de Ozempic, Mounjaro y Wegovy.
