Poland scrambled military aircraft twice on Oct. 18 as Russia carried out air attacks on Ukraine, with alerts sent to residents of the Lublin and Subcarpathian regions. The alerts were lifted after the threat passed. The deployments came as Russian forces attacked western Ukraine, including a drone strike near Lviv that set a warehouse building on fire.
